Corporate Brands Around The World

Hello and welcome to my blog on branding. My name is Lisa Mitchell and I'm a brand enthusiast. I know it may seem weird, but I collect artwork from major corporate brands. As I expanded my collection, I wanted to learn more about how business worked, so I started studying the world of business. I'm not actually part of the business world, as I am currently a stay-at-home mom. But that doesn't mean that there are not a lot of things you can learn from my blog that might help your career or simply understand why I am so passionate about branding.

Adding A Fire Extinguisher To Your RV

The summer months often find people spending a significant amount of time outdoors. If your family relies on an RV to meet its camping needs, ensuring that your recreational vehicle is safe should be a top priority.

Preventing fires is something that few RV campers think about, but it is an important safety element since a fire department will likely not be able to reach your campsite in time to prevent the spread of a serious fire. Having a fire extinguisher on your RV can increase safety.

Here are three tips to keep in mind when adding a fire extinguisher to your RV in the future:

1. Invest in a powerful fire extinguisher.

A lot of RVs come standard with small fire extinguishers that are about the size of a can of spray paint. These fire extinguishers might be sufficient to put out a small flame, but a powerful flame will require a more powerful fire extinguisher for proper control.

A fire extinguisher that is too small could simply spread burning grease or ashes, making a fire worse. Invest in a residentially-sized fire extinguisher for your RV to ensure you have enough power to put out any flame that may be present in your vehicle as you camp in the future.

2. Invest in a versatile fire extinguisher.

Many consumers are surprised to discover that not all fire extinguishers are equipped to handle every type of fire that could break out. An extinguisher designed specifically to control grease fires may not be effective on a fire being fueled by paper, and vice versa.

To ensure that you are able to safely control any fire that breaks out inside your RV, you need to invest in a versatile fire extinguisher. Look for an extinguisher labeled as an ABC model. This ensures that your extinguisher will be able to control fires caused by combustible materials, flammable liquids, and electrical wiring.

3. Make sure you know how to use your extinguisher.

Many people add a fire extinguisher to their RV but forget to learn how to use the extinguisher properly. You don't want to have to worry about taking the time to read the directions when a fire breaks out, so ensure that you are familiar with the fire extinguisher you purchase.

It can be beneficial to purchase two extinguishers so that you can practice using one to ensure you know how to safely control flames that may compromise the safety of your RV.

Ensure that your next camping trip is a safe one by adding a fire extinguisher to your RV. Contact a company like Tri County Fire Protection for more information and assistance.
